COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
METHOD 1: Remove frozen pierogi from bag and place in a pot of boiling water. Stir once to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pot. Once pierogi float to the surface continue to boil for 2-3 minutes. Remove from water with slotted spoon and place on a clean dish towel to drain. Eat as is or transfer to pan and fry in butter until golden brown over medium heat.
METHOD 2: Leave frozen pierogi in bag and boil until package seems to float, approximately 5-7 minutes. Carefully remove package from boiling water, open, and pan fry pierogi in butter until golden brown over medium heat.
METHOD 3: Keep frozen pierogi in bag and let thaw in the fridge. Pan fry thawed pierogi in butter until golden brown over medium heat.
I like to coat savory pierogi in extra melted butter and sautéed onion and eat with a side of sour cream. For sweet fillings top with melted butter and sugar or powdered sugar.
